Legacy Events for Education Presents Parent and Student Academies

At Legacy we know that part of leaving a legacy requires community collaboration, skill building, and knowledge sharing. We are dedicated to providing opportunities to students and families in our community to learn from local experts. Several times throughout the year we partner with various individuals and organizations to provide quality education and information at low to no cost. Below are some of the opportunities we currently offer with more to come on the horizon.

College Prep 101 – Parent Edition

In this workshop we partner with Hi-Lite Coaching, UR Learning Solution and local financial solutions providers to offer an introductory, high level view of preparing for college. While this workshop is designed for parents of middle and high schools students, students are encourage to join as well. We cover the basic necessities in terms of choosing classes in high school, test prep tips, and funding college through grants, scholarships, loans and other creative solutions. Parents will walk away with a variety of resources to defer to and a strong knowledge of how to get started when planning for college, trade school and more. Finance for the Future

In this workshop we partner with McCoy Federal Credit Union to offer an introductory level of financial knowledge to high school students.
